Leak detection from WeFix London
WeFix London finds hidden leaks using thermal imaging, tracer gas, acoustic listening and moisture mapping, usually without lifting floors or opening walls. Most inspections take one to two hours, with findings and photos on the day. We then repair the leak and, if needed, our builders, electricians and decorators put the damage right. Reports are available for insurers.
Because we are a multi-trade company, one call covers everything: the leak detection specialist, the plumber or heating engineer who repairs it, and the trades who make good afterwards.

FAQ
Leak detection: your questions answered
How much does a leak detection specialist cost?
Our leak detection specialist rate is £175 per hour from 7am to 7pm on weekdays, £220 from 7pm to midnight and £390 overnight, all plus VAT. There is a one-hour minimum, then billing in 15-minute increments. Larger jobs can be priced as a fixed estimate.
What are the signs of a hidden leak?
Common signs are damp patches on walls or ceilings, unexplained mould or a musty smell, peeling paint, warped flooring or bubbling plaster, a boiler that keeps losing pressure, and a water bill higher than usual. If you notice any of these, a leak detection visit can find the source early.
How long does a leak detection visit take?
Most inspections take one to two hours, depending on the size of the property and how complicated the pipework is. You get clear feedback and photos of any findings on the same day, and a written report if you need one for your insurer.
Is damp always caused by a plumbing leak?
No. Damp can also be penetrating damp from outside, rising damp from the ground, or condensation from everyday living. Our engineers identify the actual cause and recommend the right fix, whether it is plumbing-related or not, so you do not pay for the wrong repair.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. We provide detailed reports and photographs that support insurance claims for water damage and leak-related repairs. Check your policy for "trace and access" cover, which often pays for finding the leak as well as repairing the damage it caused.
